Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – STORE Self Storage and Wine Storage was recently honored as “Small Business of the Year” during the annual Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Awards Dinner. Widely recognized as northern Palm Beach County’s premier business event, over 200 people gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of local enterprises and successful members of our community.

STORE was selected for being more than just a self-storage and wine storage facility. When you enter the lobby it feels like walking into a posh hotel, complete with boutique concierge service, the smell of fresh-baked cookies, and lavish interiors.
The 155,000-square-foot, climate-controlled building, is Palm Beach Gardens’ only Category 4, hurricane-rated storage facility. It features 19 different sizes that are competitively priced and suitable for commercial as well as residential clients.

The elegant wine vault offers the latest in security technology, including biometric fingerprint access, surveillance monitoring, an exclusive management system with touch screens, a bar code scanner to help maintain accurate personal inventories, and individual door alarms on each wine locker.

The venue is also available for special events, wine tastings, and meetings. As the premier networking hub of the area, STORE sponsors and hosts many educational, networking, and customized social events. The Wine Concierge and friendly staff are available to help coordinate any affair − from intimate occasions to lavish red carpet charity bashes with up to 800 guests.

“We do all we can to accommodate our clients. It is a pleasure for our staff to assist with all storage and event needs,” said STORE owner, Jon Channing. “We pride ourselves on running a facility where businesses and people of the community can come together. It’s an honor for us to be recognized here by our peers.”

Successful Local Alliances

By David Dixon,
Vice President of Development,
Universal Management Company

Are there business benefits to being a good community citizen? YES. By supporting other local businesses, alliances are formed that create flexibility and camaraderie for planning events, utilizing services, and purchasing products.

STORE’s weekly Green Market is a prime example of how networking and strategic alliances can help your business. Every Saturday in July through September, STORE’s Green Market showcases local businesses and the products they sell. Florida summers leave residents lacking any sort of outdoor market for several months. By choosing to address the need of its community, STORE has helped support local vendors during the lean summer months, made new friends and alliances, and raised the profile of their unique facility.

For the last three years, once a month STORE hosts a morning business networking event, Networking in the Gardens, on the third Friday of each month, 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. Countless partnerships, business opportunities, and friendships have resulted from an hour and half one morning a month. Numerous local restaurants and specialty shops now cater to STORE events; realtors and apartment managers can assist their clients in finding storage options, and STORE even found its new website designer, Blue Wave Design, from it! For local businesses, word of mouth is really what it’s all about.

If you are a local supplier or business owner, we want to hear from you. STORE Self Storage is locally owned, locally operated, and right in your neighborhood. Stop by for a personal tour of this award-winning facility or contact the staff about joining this local group. They would love to have you.

Anne Ballard - More than warm cookies

We want to know what is your favorite cookie flavor?

It’s More Than Warm Cookies And Custom Coffees. . .
By M. Anne Ballard, The Hat Lady

Store Self Storage and Wine Storage was a long time in planning and development to achieve the outstanding facility you see today. Every aspect of the customer experience was considered and discussed, revised and planned. We know in our industry how stressful moving, packing and storing can be on each of you and your families, or for your business inventory maintenance as well. Our goal, as you can see, is to make sure you know from the minute you enter Store that your comfort and trust are the most important elements to us.
We also know if you are comfortable, can make yourself at home, fix yourself a custom coffee or tea, grab a warm cookie or cold water bottle, and say hi to the managers and maybe even get out of the sun for a few minutes; things are a bit easier and not quite so stressful. When everything is kept clean and tidy and you can easily read and understand where to go and how to get there or how to use our many amenities you are more likely to trust us with your valuables and most importantly to us, your referrals of friends, families and coworkers. Making sure you could load and unload out of the sun, wind and rain was also an important feature for your continued comfort. We work to treat our customers like we do your fine wine in our wine cellars, making sure your comfort and trust are maintained and continually improved.
Fun facts about our warm cookies and great customers! Our number one cookie request is for the strawberry shortcake, with chocolate being the second most popular. Since opening we have served over 9,000 cookies (760 dozen) to our guests or roughly 300 per month. 97% of our customers chose us because of our many features, location and great management team. 47% of our business customers are retail or service businesses, and 42.1% of all customers were referred by a friend or business or one of our outstanding community events they have attended.
Come by anytime and say hi, grab your favorite cookie and beverage and let us know how we can help you today. Don’t know us yet? Come by and experience extraordinary storage and great service at Store, we’ll keep the cookies warm and fresh baked until you get here, and oh yes, bring a friend.

We want to know what is your favorite cookie flavor.

County appreciates support of homeless resource center by the Breakers, Goodwill and STORE Self Storage

When the county’s new Homeless Resource Center in West Palm Beach opens next year, furnishing it won’t be a problem, thanks to a unique public/private partnership with The Breakers, Gulfstream Goodwill Industries and Store Self Storage.

On July 8, Goodwill employees moved sofas, stuffed chairs, tables, and more than 200 pieces of beautiful artwork from the Breakers hotel into a 10-by-20-foot bay at Store Self Storage in Palm Beach Gardens where they will be kept free of charge until the new resource center is ready.

The Breakers donated the furnishings from a recent 69-room renovation. All the items were wrapped and moved by Goodwill personnel, and Store Self Storage offered the free storage space. Pieces not retained for the homeless center will be available for sale at area Goodwill stores and boutiques with the PBC Homeless Advisory Board receiving a share of the proceeds.

Spring Cleaning Made Easy

The sun is shining, the weather is gorgeous, which means one thing…spring is here! Spring is the time to de-clutter and organize your home for the great weather and preparation of next winter. Last year, clothes and objects were thrown from room to room and your house ended up just as full as before, only objects were in different places.

At STORE Self Storage, we can help your cleaning become quick, easy, and simple.

Here are a few steps to follow:
1) Design a plan - decide a day when you can get a few household members to go through personal rooms and then together in the communal rooms.

2) Attack one room at a time. Go through all the items in the room and remove those that can be stored, sold and/or donated. Organize all the remaining items in that room. Once you are done, do not add any items to the room. This process should de-clutter your home in a total of a day or two. Once the home is de-cluttered, it will make dusting, cleaning, and organizing a lot easier.

3) Your garage or a spare room is probably full of bags to be sold or donated. The easiest solution is to rent a storage unit for a short time. At STORE Self Storage, we will even bring our truck and driver to assist with moving your items. This will enable you to get rid of those bags and regain your house. In the storage unit separate the items that are to be sold and those that are going to be kept for next winter.

4) Now your home is de-cluttered and organized. Cleaning will be a breeze. In just two days, you’ve transformed your house from having lots of things to now having lots of space. Enjoy your spring and summer!
